2024 OEC Refresher Training

Ski Patrol members active with their patrol and in good standing with NSP must complete annual OEC Refresher training to maintain their certification. Training is completed through online training modules and an in-person skills session.

The OEC technician card operates off of a three-year renewal cycle. Members complete refreshers A, B, and C within that 3-year period. Patrollers are required to complete the current year's refresher prior to the end of the year (December 31, 2024) in order to maintain active status. If a patroller fails to complete OEC Refresher before the deadline, they will become delinquent. There are other patrols holding Refresher training this fall you may sign up to attend. Reference the Northern Division Calendar for dates and contact the patrol to attend. A makeup may be taken to reinstate active OEC status, but keep in mind, a patroller can only patrol once their OEC status is current and up-to-date.

To complete OEC Refresher you must:
1. Register on the NSP Center for Learning <2024 OEC Refresher Cycle B - Online Modules>. Complete training and print/save a copy of certificate.
2. Register on the NSP Center for Learning <2024 OEC Refresher Cycle B - Skills Session>. Select <Red Lodge Volunteer Ski Patrol> for location.
3. Review the Skills Refresher Guide (linked below)
4. Register with Red Lodge Ski Patrol to attend the Skills Session (link below)
5. Attend the Skills Session at the RLM Main Lodge cafeteria on 16 Nov 2024. Plan to arrive no later than 08:30 to be ready for training.

NOTE: Present a copy of your Online Modules certificate. Be prepared to go outside. Bring lunch and drink. The cafeteria will not be open.
